Blog #5. Beauty Blogger Mayhem

This ad take place in a females room with the actor stating that he's a beauty blogger who is doing his hair to get a lot of likes. He tells that audience that leaving his hair straightener on this towel, is a 'thumbs down emoji.' Then he goes on about home insurance while the towel catches on fire. Then he states, "Get Allstate, to be better protected against mayhem, like me." He puts his shades on, and walks out of the scene.
Looking at this ad, American culture reflects on the average middle age female who leaves the house and can't remember if she turned her straighter off before she left. Which is the majority of us. What really grabbed my attention at first was seeing a male curling his hair, while he was in a suit, sitting in what looked like a women's room. In the background you can see a desk with books, in the right side of the room. On the left said, there is what looks like a dresser, with necklaces and jewelry on top of it. He is trying to get the average American female's attention.
The response from the ad is humor, and that's his hook. Once he has your attention, he then narrates what will happen and a fire started. He ends the ad by trying to get people to buy Allstate insurance because they would cover the damage fees. Some take aways from this could be that Allstate insurance has a lot of coverage for houses and it is better to be safe than sorry.
