The town of Tombstone, located in southeast Arizona, is well-known for its Wild West past. A gallows replica is one of the displays at the Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park. The O.K. Corral outdoor theater recreates a cowboy gunfight from 1881 on historic Allen Street. There are rumors that the heavily-armed Bird Cage Theatre is haunted by resident ghosts. The local townspeople interred in the 1878 Boothill Cemetery include outlaws.
Sedona, AZ is beautiful. A place that is peaceful and has beautiful views in every directions. Surrounded by gorgeous red rocks and even has an all natural rock slide, Sedona is known for its beauty and positive energy. Native American History is also rooted into this beautiful place. Located in Northern Arizona, Sedona is defiantly a place to visit and see!
One of the biggest attractions in Arizona is the Grand Canyon. Approximately 277 miles long and 18 miles wide, together the Colorado River and Grand Canyon have a deep complex history, which has lasted over 70 million years, and slowly, yet beautifully, the Grand Canyon formed.
It's so easy to overlook the beauty this state has to offer, especially if you're born and raised here. What a nice post to give AZ the credit it deserves. How lucky are we to live in a place that offers so much history, beauty and scenic diversity!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how Arizona has gotten the stereotype that it's just all desert and it's all it is when in reality there are multiple places that are beautiful and vegetated. If you've ever been towards Eager, AZ you can see the beauty that Arizona can have and that not all of it is desert.
